Lidiya Bodnar-Balahutrak: “Tribute to Children”

Commemorating the Holodomor — The 1932–1933 Famine in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Museum-Archives invites you to the opening of “Tribute to Children,” an art exhibition by Ukrainian artist Lidiya Bodnar-Balahutrak, on November 6, 2026, at 5:30 PM.

Through this exhibition, Bodnar-Balahutrak reflects on the devastating human cost of the Holodomor of 1932–1933, the man-made famine in Soviet Ukraine that resulted in the deaths of millions of Ukrainians.

The exhibition pays particular tribute to the children who suffered and lost their lives during this tragic period. Through her artwork, Bodnar-Balahutrak explores themes of memory, loss, remembrance, and resilience, encouraging viewers to reflect on the enduring impact of the Holodomor and the importance of preserving its memory for future generations.
